MISSION STATEMENT
William Booth House will offer to its residents a programme of support, self help, life-skills and social education in a Christian environment with the aim of achieving successful re-integration into the community of their choice. Each resident will be respected as an individual and the programme tailored to assist the person achieve their full potential.
Recognising that staff members are a precious resource, there is a commitment to encourage staff development and training.
REFERRAL
The main centre is direct access. Potential residents can either be referred by an agency or present themselves without prior arrangement. It is always wise to phone, if possible, to check for vacancies. All admissions are subject to an interview and assessment of need by the Duty Manager.
All new referrals are given a basic assessment in the Assessment Unit and then allocated a support worker in the main Centre.
Anyone interested in entering the resettlement programme will need to be assessed by a resettlement worker. Referrals can either come through the direct access facility or through other agencies.
